Smile of the Month – from unhappiness to delight
Another month, and another fantastic Smile of the Month success story.
Saima’s the star of this show, who first came to see Ronit at one of our Invisalign Open Day events.
(We run these a couple of times a year, and are worth keeping your eyes peeled for!)
Saima wasn’t happy – she was concerned about the appearance of her teeth, wanting them to be both straighter and whiter.
When Ronit did an initial assessment, he observed severe crowding on her lower teeth, and spacing between her upper teeth.
We took some X-rays, did a comprehensive digital screening and took some clinical photographs before putting together a bespoke orthodontic plan to get her from where she was to where she wanted to be.
The first task? Remove two lower premolar teeth to create space, which we did comfortably in one visit, under local anaesthetic, and after six weeks, Saima returned for us to fit her Invisalign aligners.
She wore her aligners for around 12 months, which we continuously monitored virtually, and during that time, several things happened:
- Saima’s bite improved
- Her teeth became straighter
- She became happier and happier with the result, especially when we added whitening at the end!
The final stage was the fitting of a retainer, which will prevent her teeth moving back and undoing the progress.
Saima’s Smile of the Month is another rewarding example of the power of Invisalign, and demonstrates that if you’re unhappy with your teeth, potential for change is just around the corner.
