At Brightside Dental, we know that ‘going to the dentist’ isn’t top of most peoples’ bucket lists.
But in order to keep you as happy and healthy as possible, it’s a non-negotiable.
It’s for that reason (and the fact that we care), that we go above and beyond to make your visit to us as pleasurable and comfortable as possible; if you’ve ever had a bad experience at the dentist, please rest assured that your visit to Brightside will be entirely different to that.
“The thought of actually going to see a new dentist, it sort of brought back all those fears again, so I was really pleased to actually come across Brightside Dental. The receptionist was so friendly, caring and explained everything so well. Dr Sharh went through everything with me and we came up with a treatment plan … and I was given the opportunity to ask lots of questions.”
Once you’re registered as a new patient, you’ll receive a New Client Pack – this’ll give you plenty more information about the practice and the services we offer, as well as forms you can complete at your convenience before you come and see us.
We like to cater for all modes of transport here at Brightside:
When you arrive, please come straight through the front door, where our friendly reception team will meet you. We care deeply about putting you at ease, so please don’t worry about coming in – we promise to look after you!
As experts in dealing with nervous patients, we’ve seen it all, and there’s no worry or concern too small; just tell us what we can do to help, and we’ll bend over backwards to make things as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Once one of the team has greeted you, you’ll then be invited to have a seat in the lounge area, and complete any additional paperwork required.
Your dentist or nurse will come and meet you, and bring you into the treatment room.
Your dentist will ask some questions to get to know you and understand about your overall health and oral health, and you’ll get the chance to ask anything that’s on your mind. While you’re sitting comfortably in your seat, the nurse and dentist will explain how the 30-point Oral Health Assessment works. Here’s some of what they’ll focus on:
1
Full series of digital photos
2
A check of the outside of the head and neck – the muscles and glands
3
Check soft tissues for mouth cancer
4
A 3D computerised screening of all your teeth to check on past treatment and anything that may be needed in the future
5
Full check of the health of each tooth
6
Gum Health Assessment
7
Digital X-rays to check inside the teeth and under any restorations you have
8
Discussion and treatment recommendations
Following the assessment, your dentist will let you know any treatment options required, as well as an idea of costs – at this point you can ask whatever you want, and decide what’s right for you. Don’t worry, there’s no pressure to decide anything at this point.
If you do decide to go ahead, it’s back to reception to arrange appointments and any payment required.
The total investment for 30 Point Oral Health Assessment is just £125.
